About us
Eskrimadors is the name given to practitioners of Eskrima, Kali, and Arnis—the proud martial arts and sports heritage of the Philippines. In 2008, after the World Eskrima Arnis Federation Championship (WEKAF) in Cebu City, a junior instructor from Doce Pares Headquarters and a member of the Philippine Team was inspired by a powerful vision: to open doors for children, youth, and adults who had no opportunity to join established teams. From this vision, Eskrimadors Filipino Martial Arts was born—a team created especially for out-of-school youth and after-school programs. Through discipline, mentorship, and competition in local and invitational tournaments, Eskrimadors FMA provides a pathway for aspiring athletes to grow, compete,
and dream of representing the Philippines on the world championship stage. Subsequently, the team achieved significant success, producing world champions while also attaining notable accomplishments within their academic institution. Meanwhile, one of the founders migrated to the United States and continued the organization’s legacy by promoting Filipino culture and Filipino Martial Arts and Sports throughout California. Instruction initially took place in public parks and private residences, where outreach efforts led to connections with Eskrima practitioners from other groups. Through strategic collaboration and shared objectives, these practitioners united to further promote martial arts and sport. This collective effort resulted in the formal continuation and expansion of the organization in the United States under the name ESKRIMADORS Filipino Martial Arts, operating within the Doce Pares system.

Rodolfo ochoa
Assistant Instructor
Rodolfo “Rudy” Ochoa, born in May 1968 in Oxnard, California, grew up in the community he would proudly call home. He graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 1986 and soon after enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
Following his military career, Rudy built more than three decades of experience as an automotive technician.
Rudy began his martial arts training in 1984 at the Oxnard Kung Fu Studio. During his service in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1990, he continued developing his skills through the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
In 1998, Rudy expanded his training into Filipino Martial Arts—Eskrima, Kali, and Arnis—under Master Henry Garcia in the Tae Kali Do organization. He trained actively with the Tae Kali Do group in Oxnard until 2016, participating in numerous local, national, and international competitions.
Rudy’s dedication and skill culminated in becoming a World Champion at the 2006 World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF) Championship, held in Orlando, Florida, USA.
In 2016, Tae Kali Do closed after Master Henry Garcia relocated to Las Vegas. Determined to continue his growth in Eskrima and Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), Rudy organized training sessions at his home with former teammates, keeping their skills sharp and their commitment alive. Master Garcia occasionally visited to reconnect with his longtime students and support the team’s continued development.
In September 2025, Master Garcia introduced the group to Master Cesario Perez of the Doce Pares World Headquarters, leading to a seminar held at Rudy’s home. At the time, Master Perez was teaching a small group in a local park, but cold and rainy weather often interrupted training. Rudy, eager to deepen his understanding of FMA, stepped forward to help Master Perez build a dedicated gym—creating a permanent training space rooted in the Doce Pares Multi‑Style System.
January 2026 marked a turning point—the moment when years of training, teamwork, and dedication finally took shape. The dream that Rudy and Master Cesario Perez had worked toward became real with the birth of ESKRIMADORS Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), proudly carrying the Doce Pares Multi‑Style System.
Just a few months later, on May 31, 2026, the doors officially opened in Ventura, Ventura County. Master Perez, a 4th Grade Black Belt and five‑time World Champion, stood as founder, bringing world‑class expertise to the new school.
For Rudy, this was more than just a new chapter—it was the fulfillment of a lifelong commitment to Filipino Martial Arts. He stepped forward as Assistant Instructor and Co‑Founder, helping shape the identity of ESKRIMADORS FMA and supporting the growth of a new generation of practitioners.
